Fayette Cliffs

Fayette a small town nestled on the natural harbor on the Garden Peninsula of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Fayette was once one of the largest iron ore smelting sites on Lake Michigan. The limestone from the cliffs in the photo were used in the iron smelting operations to purify the iron ore.
